Frequently Asked Questions

What is K9 FORCE Philippines certification?

It is a structured evaluation system designed to assess whether a dog-and-handler team meets defined performance and competency standards for the applicable certification level or discipline.

Does completing a training course automatically give me a certification?

No. Completing training and earning certification are different. Certification is awarded only when the required examination or assessment standards have been successfully met.

Are both the dog and handler evaluated?

Depending on the certification, evaluation may include the dog’s performance, handler control, teamwork, safety, communication and the team’s ability to complete the required exercises correctly.

What happens if a team does not pass?

A team that does not meet the required standard may continue training and, where permitted under the applicable rules, apply for reassessment when sufficiently prepared.

Can dogs trained outside K9 FORCE Philippines apply for evaluation?

Eligibility depends on the certification program and applicable rules. External teams may be considered provided they meet the entry requirements and required standards.

Do you provide certification for professional or government K9 teams?

K9 FORCE Philippines may provide training, assessment and academy certification services according to the applicable program, organizational requirements and agreed scope.

Does a K9 FORCE certificate replace a government license or official government accreditation?

No. A K9 FORCE Philippines certificate represents achievement under the academy’s applicable standards. It does not replace any license, accreditation, authorization or certification legally required by a Philippine government authority.

How long is a certification valid?

Validity and recertification requirements depend on the specific program. Operational working-dog teams should be regularly trained and reassessed to maintain competency.

How do I apply for certification?

Contact the academy with information about the handler, dog, current training level, discipline and certification requested. We can then advise on eligibility and preparation requirements.
